Speaking at the summit of Visegrad Four ministers on Wednesday, Slovak Prime Minister Eduard Heger claimed that the COVID-19 pandemic had firmed up the cooperation between the countries more than ever before. According to Heger, the cooperation between the Visegrad Four countries (V4: Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia) in the sphere of health and economy during the pandemic has been very good. "We have weathered this economically, especially in terms of mutual trade. Despite the many restrictions, we have proven ourselves able to support each other's country and businesses, so as to keep trade going," stated Heger. He also voiced hope that the pandemic of COVID-19 had shifted into its final stage, calling the vaccination "the greatest weapon against the pandemic". At the V4 session of Prime Ministers, Poland passed the rotating Presidency on to Hungary, which is going to assume the role as of July 1.
