The special House session with no-confidence motion in Finance Minister Igor Matovic (OLaNO) started at 12 a.m. on Wednesday. Originally, the session should have taken place on Tuesday evening. It was, however, postponed until Wednesday after Parliament repeatedly failed to reach the quorum necessary to pass decisions on Tuesday. Vote on the no-confidence motion was initiated by non-attached MPs and the non-parliamentary Voice-SD party.
According to them, Matovič is responsible for the legal disintegration of the state and its institutions, the conflict in the government with coalition partner Richard Sulík (SaS) and "the government's unpreparedness for the third wave of the pandemic".
