The third wave of COVID-19 will not be that bad as the second one, said biochemist Pavol Cekan, who was awarded the Order of Ludovit Stur, Second Class by President Zuzana Caputova on Monday. According to him, the strength of the third wave will depend on the vaccination rate, contact tracing and testing, as well as treatment and the observance of measures by the public. "I still believe that the third wave will be somewhat lighter. We'll be having children in schools and the economy will be more open," said Cekan.
