Confidence in Slovakia's economy in June was slightly more optimistic compared to a partial deterioration in May, as the seasonally adjusted Economic Sentiment Indicator (ESI) increased by 3.9 percentage points, reaching its highest level since September 2017, the Statistics Office reported on Tuesday. Confidence increased most significantly in industry, influenced by positive expectations concerning increases in production in the next three months and less significantly in business, construction and among consumers. Conversely, it slightly decreased in services.
