As of July, the Slovak borders will be controlled again, said Slovak Speaker of Parliament Boris Kollár. He recommended Slovaks to support local tourism and spend their holidays in Slovakia, adding that those who go abroad must prepare for a certain discomfort. According to Kollár even a 60% vaccination rate will not be enough for the aggressive delta variant, however, he believes that vaccination must be voluntary. As of Monday over 2 million people in Slovakia had been vaccinated with the first jab, representing 36.38%.
