Slovak Catholic Bishops perceive the effort to stop spreading the pandemic via inoculation as beneficial and value the results of the work of doctors and scientists. The bishops reiterated their stance from December 2020 that the protection of life and health is a serious moral obligation - including through verified and approved vaccination programs. On the other hand, the Church respects the option of free choice for everyone. According to their press release, published on Wednesday, the bishops also find it "useful to communicate that Pope Francis, Pope Benedict XVI. Emeritus as well as members of the Slovak Bishops' Conference, are vaccinated against Covid-19.
