The busy intersection of Hraničiarov Square saw a cyclist make a series of mistakes which may cost him time in prison.
According to police, on Monday a 48 year old man known only as Romanovi Š. rode his bicycle recklessly through the often congested intersection on Osuská Street in Petržalka, putting his and other lives at risk. “Several times he ignored the police’s calls to stop his reckless riding, continuing to ride down Hrobákova Street, where, after being stopped by police he verbally and physically attacked officers. The cyclists attack on the police officers was halted by the use of coercive measures”, said Tatiana Kurucová, the Bratislava regional police spokesperson. The cyclist was escorted to a police holding cell and is facing charges of assaulting a police officer which could result in one to five years behind bars.
