The National Crime Agency (NAKA) detained the head of the Interior Ministry's Internal Affairs Inspectorate Adrián Szabó on Thursday, TASR learnt from Prosecutor-General's Office spokesman Dalibor Skladan. The reason for Szabó's detention is suspicions that he abused the powers of a public official and of corruption. The corruption-related crime allegedly involved the receipt of consumer electronics and cash amounting to at least €20,000," said Skladan. Szabó has been serving as inspectorate head since 2018. He was also among the participants in the recent 'secret meeting' of senior politicians at the headquarters of the Slovak Intelligence Service (SIS).
