Economic cooperation with Ukraine, energy, cross-border and regional cooperation are the main topics which Slovak PM Eduard Heger should focus on during his Friday's visit Kiev to Ukraine. Heger has a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, Chairman of Parliament Dmytro Razumkov and Ukrainian PM Denys Shmyhal on the schedule. The Slovak PM is accompanied by Slovak Foreign Affairs Minister Ivan Korčok.
"Our goal is to transform a good political atmosphere into specific projects involving economic and trade exchanges and cooperation in the fields of energy, mobility and science. An emphasis on tangible results was a basic principle when preparing this extremely important visit," said Korčok, who described current Slovak-Ukrainian relations as very good.
As part of the stay, Heger will lay wreaths at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and at the Memorial to the Famine Victims. He will also take part in a presentation of the Slovak urban lighting project in Kiev. "It's a major infrastructure project and one of the biggest Slovak investments in this city," explained the Government Office.
