Slovak Foreign Affairs Minister Ivan Korcok called for restraint and appropriate measures when using force on his visit to Israel on Thursday (May 20), during which he met Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his counterpart Gabriel Ashkenazi.
"A lasting peace and sustainable resolution can only be achieved through negotiations leading to a two-state solution in line with UN Security Council resolutions and based on internationally agreed parameters," added the chief of Slovak diplomacy.
According to Korčok, one of the key preconditions for the resumption of negotiations is not only dealing with the militant activities of Hamas, but also holding elections to the Palestinian Authority as soon as possible, as these have not taken place for 15 years.
