Slovakia still without universal COVID-19 vaccination certificate

The Slovak Health Ministry is intensively working on an internationally accepted universal certificate for people who have been vaccinated against COVID-19. According to the ministry's spokesperson Zuzana Eliášová, it should be introduced in the coming days. "At the moment, if someone needs to travel to a foreign country, we ask them to contact their general practitioner and ask them to confirm their vaccination on the International Certificate of Vaccination. The Association of General Practitioners pointed to the fact that there is an increasing number of Slovaks who have not been inoculated and are trying to obtain such certificates via fraud. According to the association, it is impossible to verify whether these documents are authentic as every vaccination centre in the country currently issues its own confirmation form.
