Mochovce Power Plant to be supplied with nuclear fuel from autumn

The third block of the Mochovce, western Slovakia, nuclear power plant (EMO3) will begin to be supplied with nuclear fuel from the autumn, said Slovenske elektrarne energy utility director Branislav Strycek on Thursday. He was speaking in the company of Economy Minister Richard Sulik (SaS), as the Nuclear Supervision Authority (UJD) has released a permit for EMO3 to receive nuclear fuel. "Besides UJD, the permission process also featured international agencies, which didn't find any obstacle that would prevent the third block of the Mochovce nuclear power plant from being launched," said Strycek. Meanwhile, Sulik praised Mochovce as "one the most modern power plants in terms of safety".
