Parliamentary committee deals with motion accusing Čaputová of promoting brands

The parliamentary committee for incompatibility of posts and powers has started dealing with a motion against President Zuzana Čaputová, who may have violated the ban on promoting products, brands and services that applies to public officials, committee head Boris Susko (Smer-SD) announced on Tuesday.

According to Susko, the motion concerns a jersey from Slovak Alpine skier Petra Vlhová - with which Čaputová posed for photographers during Vlhová's visit to the Presidential Palace - and certain internet vendors the president mentioned in March when she announced that they were donating 3,100 pulse oximeters to outpatient surgeries in the country. Susko claimed that the committee will now request a statement regarding these matters from Čaputová and then proceed accordingly.
