Slovakia as a whole will be considered 'light red' according to the COVID-19 automaton as of May 10, Health Minister Vladimir Lengvarsky and chief hygienist Jan Mikas reported on Friday. Only two districts - Povazska Bystrica and Myjava - will be 'dark red',
At the same time, there will be 33 medium-red and 44 light-red districts. Compared to the previous week, the situation in the country concerning the pandemic has improved. Even though medium- and light-red colours entail the easing of anti-coronavirus measures, the night-time curfew will remain in effect across Slovakia.
Sports clubs registered as belonging to associations will be now able to hold training sessions in medium- and light-red districts, with the maximum capacity depending on whether the training session is held indoors or outdoors. When it comes to light-red districts, the limit is 50 sportsmen for open-air sessions and 25 for interior ones. As for medium-red districts, the limit is ten sportsmen for both indoor and outdoor sessions.
Similar rules will apply to cultural events. The first condition for both light- and medium-red districts is that such events must not exceed 50 percent of visitor capacity. Light-red districts will be able to host events for 500 people seated in the open air and for 250 people indoors, while the figures will be set at 200 visitors for outdoor events and 150 visitors for indoor events in medium-red districts. Movie projections, however, remain banned for the time being.
