Parliament on Friday began dealing with the Manifesto of Prime Minister Eduard Heger's Cabinet, with a number of MPs, especially opposition ones, several ministers and parliamentary vice-chairs planning to take the floor to address the document. It is expected that the session on Friday will last until 7 p.m. and will then resume on Monday. Subsequently, MPs will hold a confidence vote in Heger's Cabinet, which needs at least 76 MPs' votes in order to obtain confidence from the House. Meanwhile, both Prime Minister Eduard Heger and Parliamentary Chair Boris Kollar have already made their pitch for the Manifesto - on Friday. According to Heger, the main pillars of the Manifesto are the fight against corruption, healthy public finances, support for Slovak families and restarting Slovakia's economy following the pandemic. As for Kollar, the parliamentary chair called on all MPs to support the Manifesto, claiming that its main focus is support for families.
