If a general election had taken place at the end of April, the winner would have been the Voice-SD party on 24.4 percent of the votes, followed by OLaNO on 11.8 percent and Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) on 11.5 percent, a poll carried out by Polis agency on behalf of a private television channel showed on Thursday evening. The top three parties would have been followed by Smer-SD on 10.8 percent, We Are Family on 7.6 percent, ethnic-Hungarian party Alliance on 5.8 percent and Progressive Slovakia (PS) on 5.1 percent of the votes.
Meanwhile, the coalition For the People party would not have made it into Parliament, garnering 4.7 percent of the votes. The same would have applied to the far-right opposition People's Party Our Slovakia (LSNS), which would have received 3 percent. According to the poll, the voter turnout would exceed 60 percent. The poll was carried out between April 24 and April 28 on a sample of 1,091 respondents.
