On Wednesday evening, the vaccination "waiting room" opened for all above the age of 16. More than 77,000 people aged between 16-40 had registered in the online waiting room for COVID-19 vaccination in the first hours, the National Health Information Centre (NCZI) reported on the same day. Among them also almost 5,000 teenagers aged 16-18. Health Ministry spokesperson Zuzana Eliášová reported on Thursday that the ministry is expecting to receive 1.45 million vaccine doses from four different producers by the end of May. More than one million of the doses are supposed to be from Pfizer/BioNTech, while another 159,200 should be supplied by Moderna, 200,000 by AstraZeneca and 46,500 by Johnson & Johnson. Meanwhile, Reuters reports that doses of Russia's Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccine sent to Slovakia in March will have to be kept in storage for at least another month, after Moscow asked for some doses to be sent back for testing. The Health Ministry did not say what tests the Russians planned to carry out.
