State of emergency continues, night time curfew extended by one hour

Despite the improving epidemiologic situation, the state of emergency in Slovakia continues. The Government approved its extension by another 30 days as of Thursday, 29 April. However, from Monday, May 3, in most districts, the curfew will only apply from 9 pm to 1 am the following day. Exceptions to it, such as travel to work or to the doctor, will continue to apply. The government has approved new measures that are more relaxed for regions with a better epidemic situation. Meanwhile, the curfew will last from 5 p.m. until 1 a.m. in 'dark-red' districts. Employees in dark-red districts will need a test result that is no older than seven days. In the case of medium-red districts, the period is 14 days, while it's 21 days in light-red districts. Both antigen and PCR test results will suffice. Pupils of primary, secondary and language schools, as well as those applying for university study, will be able to enter these facilities without a negative test for coronavirus as of Thursday. Meanwhile, teachers will still need a negative test like any other employees in the country to enter their workplace.
