President Zuzana Čaputová had a phone call with her German counterpart Frank-Walter Steinmeier, thanking him for admitting Slovak patients with a severe course of COVID-19 to German hospitals, as well as for German support in the additional redistribution of vaccines, the Slovak head of state posted on a social network.
According to the president, these are important gestures of solidarity and real help from Slovakia's closest European partners. Čaputová was also interested in Germany's experience in combating hate speech on the internet. "This is a topic in which President Steinmeier has been active for a long time and which is increasingly important, given the influence of social media."
