Slovakia is intensively preparing for the introduction of a digital green certificate, the so-called COVID passport, Prime Minister Eduard Heger (OLaNO) stated on Tuesday after talks with the heads of the European Commission and European Council, Ursula von der Leyen and Charles Michel.
EU member states agreed last week on guidelines for the main technical specifications of the system for implementing and operating the COVID passport. In this context, the European Commission called on EU member states to be prepared to take the necessary technical steps at the national level to set up a pan-European infrastructure for the implementation and verification of COVID passports.
