Late payments seem to be the norm

On average companies doing business in Slovakia wait for almost two months for money from the state for provided goods or services, according to a survey of payment discipline which was conducted by the Association of European Chambers of Commerce. This figure is the worst in the region. European Union regulations stipulate a period of about 30 days.
