Prime Minister Eduard Heger (OĽaNO) informed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky via a phone call that Slovakia supports the independence and sovereignty of Ukraine. In his Wednesday statement, Heger added that he sees interference in Ukraine's territorial integrity as a serious violation of international law. According to Slovak Prime Minister, it is extremely important that Ukraine continues with political and economic reforms, including the fight against corruption. Ukraine has recently accused Russia of moving thousands of troops to its northern and eastern borders. At the same time, the number of armed incidents has recently increased along the ceasefire line in Donbass. This raises concerns about a possible resurgence of fighting in the region.
