The contract for the purchase of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine should be published mandatorily, Justice Minister Mária Kolíková (For the People) said. "We have found no reason why it should not be compulsory to publish the contract. I insist on this opinion," she stated. The minister did not come to the conclusion that the reason for non-compliance with the conditions towards the Russian side should be the testing of the vaccine by the State Institute for Medicine Supervision (ŠÚKL), as Finance Minister Igor Matovič stated. In March, Matovič as then Prime Minister conducted the purchase of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine, which has not been approved in the EU. The event led to the coalition crisis, a reshuffle of the government while the vaccines have still not been used in Slovakia.
