Slovak President Zuzana Čaputová is still viewed as the most trusted senior state official, enjoying the confidence of 58% of the respondents questioned by the Focus agency as opposed to 40% who distrust her. On the contrary, the least trusted politician is Finance Minister Igor Matovič (Ordinary People), who left the post of PM this month (trusted by 15%, distrusted by 84%). Former Prime Minister Peter Pellegrini (Voice-SD) came third (trustworthy for 41% and untrustworthy for 56%). They are followed by Prime Minister Eduard Heger (Ordinary People, trusted by 29%, distrusted by 66%, and Speaker of Parliament Boris Kollár (We Are Family) on 28% of those trusting him and on 70 of those distrusting him, Economy Minister Richard Sulik (Freedom and Solidarity, trusted by 27%, distrusted by 71%), followed by Investments Minister Veronika Remišová (For the People; trusted by 26%, distrusted by 70%), and chairman of the opposition Smer-SD Robert Fico (trusted by 24%, distrusted by 74%).
Also making it onto the list was MEP and founder of the Republic movement Milan Uhrik (trusted by 18%, distrusted by 64%), head of the Christian Democrats (KDH) Milan Majersky (trusted by 16%, distrusted by 53%), Progressive Slovakia leader Irena Bihariova (trusted by 16%, distrusted by 67%), LSNS Chairman Marian Kotleba (trusted by 15%, distrusted by 83%), and Finance Minister Igor Matovic (OLaNO; trusted by 15%, distrusted by 84%).
The Focus agency conducted the poll between March 31 and April 7, 2021 on a sample of 1,001 respondents.
