The extra-parliamentary Voice-SD party has called on President Zuzana Čaputová to release the contract for Slovakia's purchase of the Sputnik V vaccine or to take action to force the Health Ministry to do the same, Voice-SD spokeswoman Patricia Medved Macikova announced on Wednesday.
"The secrecy of the Government and Igor Matovič concerning the circumstances of the purchase of Sputnik lowers public trust in the vaccine and undermines the whole point of its procurement, which was to give people an alternative vaccination option," said Voice-SD head Peter Pellegrini, adding that the public is entitled to know the basic details of the purchase.
Health Minister Vladimir Lengvarský (an OLaNO nominee) showed the contract to the president at their meeting on Tuesday.
