A total of 4,844,007 inhabitants of Slovakia, i.e. 86 percent, took part in the online part of the national census that ended on March 31. According to Jasmina Stauder, spokesperson for the 2021 Census the most active people were in the Žilina region, where as many as 92 percent of the inhabitants took part in the online census. For the first time in history, the population census was done solely in online form.
