Only about 230,000 businesses in Slovakia are registered VAT payers, despite the fact that there are almost 900,000 firms, state institutions, organisations, municipalities and regions and other forms of business, reads an analysis conducted by Bisnode A Dun & Bradstreet Company. This amounts to 25% of registered VAT payers in Slovakia. Most VAT payers hail from the Bratislava region, followed by the Nitra region. The region with the lowest number is the Presov region.
