A forensic audit at the Agricultural Payment Agency (PPA) has revealed that financial flows in more than half of the selected cases were managed in a corrupt manner, Agricultural Minister Jan Micovsky (OLaNO) stated at a news conference on Thursday. The audit was carried out by professional services firm PwC, which revealed corruption practices in 60 percent of the cases that it chose to look into. The ministry will now look into how these practices took place in the past and try to rebuild the agency into a healthier institution.
PwC investigated 110 cases worth €47 million. Of this sum, corruption practices concerned €27 million.
