Korcok honours memory of Alexander Dubček in Ankara

Slovak Foreign Affairs Minister Ivan Korčok (a SaS nominee) began his working visit to Turkey on Tuesday by honouring the memory of the leading representative of the 1968 Prague Spring, Alexander Dubček, TASR has learnt from the Foreign Affairs Ministry's press department.

Korcok laid flowers at a bust of Dubcek located in a park that bears his name. "There is even a street named after Dubček in the Turkish capital - Dubçek Caddesi in Turkish," said Korčok.

Dubcek served as Czechoslovak ambassador in Ankara in 1970, albeit only for a couple of months." I was very pleased to see that his name still resonates in this country," stated Korčok.
