OLANO caucus stands firmly behind Matovič

The largest parliamentary caucus, OLANO, stands firmly behind its party leader and Prime Minister Igor Matovič, caucus leader Michal Šipoš told TASR on Tuesday amid calls from junior coalition partners for the premier's resignation. He repeated that OLANO last week fulfilled the demand of the Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) and For the People parties that health minister Marek Krajči's (OLANO) resign. Four parties make up the governing coalition: OLANO, We Are Family, SaS and For the People. The latter two are even ready to sacrifice their leaders in Government if this becomes a condition for Matovič's resignation. In addition, SaS has stated flatly that if Matovič doesn't step down, it will leave the coalition. For the People has also conceded such a scenario.
