Defence Minister Jaroslav Nad (OLaNO) said on Thursday during his visit to Israel that the contract for the purchase of 3D medium, small and short-range radar devices is 99 percent ready. The Defence Ministry plans to procure the devices in the government-government form. Following bilateral talks with his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Gantz, Slovak Defence Minister announced that the contract could be signed on March 26 and Slovakia should pay €148.2 million for 17 radars. According to the Slovak defence minister, the declared involvement of the Slovak defence industry in the project will also be reflected in the prepared contract, in the amount of the announced 30 percent.
