The European Commission‘s spring prognosis concludes that Slovakia's economic growth will accelerate both this year and the following year. It should grow by 2.2 percent this year and by 3.1 percent in 2015.
“The composition of growth is to become more balanced as the main driving force shifts from net exports to domestic demand”, reads the European Commission’s report. Meanwhile, the unemployment rate should drop to 13.6 percent this year while inflation will be subdued to 0.4 percent.
