A joint declaration on the Future of Europe Conference signed in Brussels on Wednesday by the leaders of the three main EU institutions launches a long-delayed debate on the direction of our European project, Slovak Foreign Affairs Minister Ivan Korčok (a Freedom and Solidarity/SaS nominee) said on Wednesday. Korčok sees this declaration as an opportunity to name problems and propose changes in the EU. "The ongoing pandemic has further exposed some of the problems already known, but it's also highlighted the new challenges that the European Union and its member states must face," said Slovak Foreign Minister.
