President elect’s first visit to be Hungary

The first foreign trip of president elect Andrej Kiska, which will take place immediately after his June inauguration, will be directed to Slovakia’s southern neighbours in Hungary, namely to the meeting of the presidents of the V4 countries and Germany.

“Immediately after the inauguration day I will travel to Budapest for a meeting of the Presidents of the V4 countries and Germany. In addition to this opportunity, after taking office as the President elect, it emerged that some of the priorities of Slovakia also my own priorities. I’ve spoken to [Foreign Affairs Minister] Lajčák about these”, added Kiska. The next large event to be attended by Kiska will be the GLOBSEC security conference in Bratislava on May 14-16.
