A Specialised Criminal Court judge for overseeing preliminary proceedings ruled on Tuesday that former Justice Ministry state secretary Monika Jankovská, who has been charged with corruption and remanded in custody under the National Crime Agency's operation Storm in March 2020, can be released, although appeals can be filed against this decision.
The judge replaced Monika Jankovská's custody with official supervision. At the same time, the former state secretary will be obliged to inform the police and the court about her whereabouts and will carry a device for monitoring her movements.
Monika Jankovská was originally meant to stay in custody until March 11.
