Parliament should discuss the issue of the priority vaccination of teachers against COVID-19 at an extraordinary meeting of the Parliamentary Education Committee that will probably take place next Tuesday, February 9. "If we really care about classroom education for pupils, it's our duty to protect the health of teachers, who are irreplaceable in the education process," said MP Viera Leščáková, a member of the Committee. Its chair Vašečka said that he is in favour of teachers being given priority. However, there is a need to hold talks with Health Minister Marek Krajči (OLaNO) on the issue and take the overall situation into consideration as well. He is pleased that teachers have been moved up the vaccination priority list, and now ways are being sought to improve the situation even further.
