Ten years after Slovakia joined the EU, nearly two-thirds of the Slovaks think that it was the right step according to a study of the Representation of the European Commission (EC) in Slovakia.
"For half of all Slovaks, the European Union means using the euro and the freedom to travel, study and work anywhere in the EU”, said Andrej Kralik from the EC Representation in Slovakia. He added that Slovaks are also interested in getting medical assistance in any of the other EU-member states (38 percent).
