The Holocaust, also known as the Shoah, is a historical reminder as well as an appeal to the present day, telling us to not turn a blind eye or deaf ear to expressions of hatred and extremism, Slovak Foreign Affair Minister Ivan Korcok stated on Wednesday, on the occasion of International Holocaust Remembrance Day, which is commemorated annually on January 27. "There's too much evil around us at the moment, and that's why we can't be indifferent to it," remarked the minister. The day was commemorated also by the President Zuzana Čaputová, who laid wreath at the Holocaust memorial in Bratislava.
