The Czech police have begun performing stricter checks for quarantine measures on certain border crossings for people entering the country from Slovakia as of Wednesday, partly due to a recent increase in the number of illegal migrants, mainly carried by lorries, TASR was told by Slovak Police Corps spokesman Michal Slivka on the same day. Slivka declined to specify the border crossings that are seeing these stricter checks. The police noted that these measures do not represent border checks or the closure of borders. The quarantine checks performed by the Czech police are random, while nothing has changed on the Slovak side of the border.
