Slovak Foreign Affairs Minister Miroslav Lajčák on Sunday spoke by telephone to his Nepalese counterpart Mahendra Bahadur Pandey, asking him to make sure that all relevant Nepalese entities join in the search for a young Slovak tourist who went missing in the area of Mount Everest during Easter.
According to the Slovak ministry’s press department, the Nepalese official assured Lajčák that he is personally involved in the search for the Slovak tourist. The young man from Želiezovce (Nitra region) was in Nepal for the third time. This time he was on a bicycle tour around the world.
