Revenues in industry in November increased by 3.7 percent year-on-year, recording growth for the first time after 17 months of decreases, the Statistics Office reported on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, revenues in the IT sector dropped in yearly terms by double digit margins, the steepest drop in the past four years. Similarly, drops were recorded in transport and warehousing as well as in selected market services, although the revenue decreases in neither of these sectors exceeded 5 percent.
As for industry, year-on-year growth was chiefly influenced by higher sales in the production of motor vehicles (up 10.5 percent) as well as in the production of metals (up 5.7 percent), which saw its first increase since March 2019.
Revenues in construction once again dropped by more than 10 percent, but the decrease in November was smaller than those seen in any of the eight preceding months.
