Due to the growing number of operational employees on sick leave or in mandatory quarantine, some train connections are going to be reduced as of Tuesday. The Transport and Construction Ministry Ivan Rudolf said on Monday that the ministry is preparing for an even greater shortage of employees in railway companies. The state-run passenger rail carrier is lacking over 200 engine drivers and almost 200 conductors due to COVID-19. "We're also preparing for the possibility that on some little-used lines we'll temporarily cancel the trains. However, I believe that this won't happen," said Transport Minister Andrej Dolezal (a We Are Family nominee).
