The hearing of the candidates for the post of Police Corps president by the parliamentary security committee will take place next week. Committee head Juraj Krupa (OLaNO) informed that he would announce the exact date in a timely manner. There are two candidates for the post, namely interim Police Corps President Peter Kovarik and the head of the Lynx Commando anti-terrorist unit Stefan Hamran. After the hearing, which will be public, the committee will recommend one of the candidates to Interior Minister Roman Mikulec (OLaNO). If neither candidate is recommended, the Interior Ministry will have to repeat the selection process.
