The Bratislava-based plant of Volkswagen Slovakia has been testing its employees for COVID-19 on Monday and Tuesday. Testing is voluntary and can be attended by all employees at 11 sampling points. Testing is not yet planned at the Volkswagen plants in Stupava (Bratislava region) and Martin (Zilina region).
And the U.S. Steel Kosice steelworks announced on Monday that the number of COVID-19 positive employees exceeded 200. The company carried out mass testing of its staff with antigen tests over the weekend. It will continue to test its employees at the very least until the end of this week. The steel mill along with its subsidiary companies employ approximately 9,500 people.
