The Constitutional Court has received 62 complaints against government measures aimed at containing the spread of coronavirus, according to Constitutional Court chairman Ivan Fiačan. As he said, 28 complaints have been dismissed and 21 still have not been discussed. Some of the complaints concerned the obligation for returnees from abroad to go into quarantine in state facilities in the spring. The Constitutional Court dismissed these complaints, stating that the measure was an administrative act performed by a body of the public administration (the Public Health Authority) and so it should be examined by administrative courts. The Constitutional Court has also examined a complaint against the imposition of the state of emergency by the Government as of October 1 and it has ruled that it was in line with the Constitution and the constitutional law on state security.
