The halt to civilian flights from the United Kingdom to Slovakia due to come into force for 72 hours as of midnight on Monday will affect four flights from Bratislava in each direction, said Bratislava Airport spokesperson Veronika Sevčiková on Monday. Four flights were cancelled at the Košice Aiport and two from Poprad-Tatry. The measure comes in reaction to reports of a new more contagious strain of Sars-CoV-2 virus spreading in the UK.
