The Government on Wednesday approved a new Security Strategy, which states that global security has worsened in several respects, directly impacting Slovakia's security and resilience, meaning that the country is facing ever more complex and immediate threats.
In the document, Slovakia commits itself to providing adequate resources for the functioning of the defence system and to using them efficiently and transparently. The country will boost its defences against cyber threats and focus on preventing the causes of terrorist attacks. At the same time, the document notes that attention needs to be given to hybrid threats, and that the country should improve its resistance to disinformation. Among other things, the country should also focus on illegal migration and the fight against extremism.
