On Friday, President Zuzana Caputova approved the Parliament's decision in the vote of the New Prosecutor General and on the 10th December she will appoint Prosecutor of the Special Prosecutor's Office Maros Zilinka to the post. He was elected the new prosecutor-general in a public vote in Parliament on Thursday by 132 lawmakers out of 147 present to a 7-year tenure. Listen to reactions to this vote in our Topical issue.
