Another former police president detained by Crime Agency

The National Crime Agency (NAKA) detained former police chief Milan Lučanský early on Thursday morning, the Dennik N daily broke the news on the same day. The police have, however, refused to provide a statement. Lučanský, who became the head of police after the murder of journalist Kuciak, was charged on Wednesday as part of Operation Judas. This operation has also led to charges against seven other police officers, both former and still active. Their alleged criminal activities concern mostly corruption. One of the detained has also been charged with jeopardising classified information and blackmail, while another has been charged with setting up, masterminding and supporting a criminal group.
