Gov't to extend permanent residence for UK Nationals post-Brexit

Slovakia will extend the right to permanent residence to British nationals and their family relatives after December 31, 2020, a date when a transition period set by Brexit deal terminates. This follows from a bill approved by the Government on Wednesday. The motion will be submitted to Parliament in a fast-tracked procedure. British nationals who have had a permanent residence in Slovakia for more than five years will be given the right to permanent residence indefinitely. Those who have lived in Slovakia for less than five years will have their stay extended by another period of five years.
